Leather Studio

Leather is one of those mediums that gains more character with age and wear. The basics of leather-working - hand stitching, cutting, punching, riveting, grommets, snaps - are covered in detail while creating and designing all matter of leather goods. Wallets, purses, dog collars, and teddy bears are all possible projects in which to hone your skills. More experienced students will learn how to use a leather sewing machine. Finishing tips and techniques will be shared to achieve a very polished look.

The class supply fee includes the use of the instructor's tools, thread, and commercial leather sewing machine (at his discretion). A supply list will either be provided during online class registration or emailed prior to the start of the class. In general, all leather, rivets, snaps, and grommets are the student’s responsibility; however, the instructor will provide direction on where to buy supplies. Students are encouraged to bring their own sketch pad, pencil, and any other supplies they are interested in using.
